Dublin, Alameda County
Irish settlers Michael Murray and Jeremiah Fallon arrived in the Amador Valley in the 1850s, and the crossroads they farmed took the name Dublin. St. Raymond Church, which they helped build in 1859, still stands in the heritage park along with the old schoolhouse. The city incorporated in 1982 and marks its roots each March with a St. Patrick's Day festival and parade.
